Friday September 19th

Saturday September 20th

  • Do you feel up for a challenge? Come join the group for a 1 mile out-and-back climb up over 700 feet in elevation gain for a spectacular view of the surrounding area.

    Details on Hike: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/alta-lake-trail

  • Welcome fellow campers to tour your rig with your “Open for Tours” sign. Or take time to tour you fellow campers’ rigs and gain inspiration for your own mod projects.

We encourage you to stop by Ben Powell’s special edition Grand Teton Sprekko. He will be providing tours and an introduction to the off-road recovery course (anyone who is trying to decide whether to join the Recovery session from 12-3pm can come by and get a sense of what will be covered and what to expect!).

  • Join Ben Powell and the team from Wolf Pack Overland for a beginner-friendly introduction to off-road recovery.  Whether you drive the occasional forest service road to dispersed camping, or like to challenge yourself and your rig to get off the beaten path, there's always the risk of getting a little bit stuck (or a lot).  Come learn about the steps you can take when it happens.  Then we'll take a drive up to nearby Cooper Mountain, get Wolf Pack's vehicle stuck, and work together as a team to test the different methods available (from free to fully stocked), to get them out safely.

  • Come join Alex for a relaxing group session for some EKKO-themed art.

Craft #1: Dot art a Sprekko or Trekko.

    Craft #2: TBD :)

  • Come hangout and enjoy some food with your fellow campers.

Potluck Sign-Up List: Link to be Posted

Plates, napkins, cups, and cutlery will be provided.

If you aren’t in the mood for games, than the good old campfire will be there to keep you company!

Come get hands-on learning on how to safely install hardware, manage cabling, and other best practices.

  • Learn how to install security enhancements for your exterior door locks.

We will be giving away two full hardware sets during this activity too!

  • Bring your chair and come hang out with us around the fire!

We will complete a freebie giveway for some cool EKKO merch too.

  • Come say goodbye to your fellow campers! Camp closes at 1pm sharp!

FAQs

Is there a plan for wildfire season?

As we enter into the summer season, we will be closely monitoring the wildfire season. The safety and well-being of our campers take priority. In the event that our campout must be postponed due to smoke or fire hazards, we will do everything in our capacity to communicate and reschedule.

What kind of camping are we doing?

Dry camping (aka "boondocking"). There are no electrical or water hookups at the group camp site, so please plan accordingly!

Will I be assigned a camp site?

Campers will be assigned a spot upon arrival.

Is there a dump station? Public restrooms?

There is an RV dump station north of the park Day Use Area. The park has public restrooms dispersed throughout.

Are dogs allowed? What is the leash policy?

Yes, Alta Lake State Park allows dogs. Dogs must be leashed at all times, if you have a playpen or run lead for your dog these are permitted. Please be a good camp neighbor and dispose of your fur friend’s waste!

How many EKKOs and attendees do we expect?

We expect to have 30-35 rigs and approximately 75 community members in attendance.

Can I use my EKKO generator to recharge my batteries?

Yes, Alta Lake State Park allows use of generators between the hours of 8am-9pm.

What are the rules on alcohol, smoking, vaping and recreational marijuana?

Personal consumption of alcohol is permitted, please be a good camper and mind your manners while drinking! Please do not share alcohol with the group directly as we do not have the proper licensing.

Smoking, vaping and recreational marijuana use are not permitted in Washington State Parks. Thank you for your understanding.
